From May 19th to 22nd, Matachana International Education Center (MIEC), under the figure of Mrs. Elena Lorenzo, participated in a comprehensive training program at Hulhumalé Hospital in the Maldives, together with our distributor in the country, company STO Healthcare Ltd. More of 65 professionals from all country resulted benefited from this deep learning.
First day focused on theoretical insights into the full cycle of medical device reprocessing. The following two days were dedicated to hands-on practice with real equipment, allowing to apply our knowledge in a clinical setting. This immersive experience not only reinforced best practices but also fostered valuable collaboration with local healthcare professionals. A truly enriching journey in a real and practice environment.
The training was part of an ongoing commitment to global knowledge exchange in infection prevention and control that MATACHANA started 2 years ago, with the first edition of this course in the Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital of Malé. Working side by side with human RUMED teams, offers us a unique perspective on local workflows and challenges.
Sharing experiences across borders is key to advancing patient safety worldwide. MATACHANA is grateful for these educative opportunities and look forward to future collaborations in Maldives and region surrounding.
