INDICATORS FOR LTSF

Indicators for routine monitoring of Low Temperature Steam with Formaldehyde (LTSF) sterilization processes comply with ISO 11140-1,6 and ISO 11138-1,5,8 and fall into three main subgroups:

3. Chemical Indicators with process challenge devices.
Verification of sterilization conditions in challenging situations for either porous or textile loads, solid or cannulated loads.

2. Chemical Indicators that go inside the packaging (packages, containers, etc.).
Verification of the sterilization conditions of the occurrence inside a package.

1. Biological Indicators for the verification of spore survival.
Unambiguous verification of the micro-organisms death after the process.
