Last 28 October, our distributor in the Philippines, Medicotek Inc, in collaboration with the Philippines Heart Center in Manila, organised an interesting online seminar which was attended by more than 200 RUMED professionals from all over the country. The topic of the day was “Pandemic resilience: the instrumental role of CSSD and Medical Device Reprocessing”.
The session started with a comprehensive presentation by MEDICOTEK, showcasing their wide range of solutions and the broad range of products they can offer for Philippine hospitals. Then, our director for the Asia Pacific region, Mr. Paco Fernandez, made a presentation of the company MATACHANA, focused on the solutions offered for the Reprocessing Units of Medical Devices. The seminar continued with the intervention of Ms. Elena Lorenzo, head of MIEC MATACHANA, who spoke about the transcendental role that RUMED played during the pandemic, especially with regard to the decontamination of personal protective equipment used by health professionals themselves and what new trends have been detected as a result of this crisis. The day ended with the participation of Ms. Kattika Sukaval, MATACHANA clinical specialist for the Asia Pacific region. Kattika explained the interesting experience during the pandemic at the SIRIRAJ Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand and all the adaptations that had to be implemented.
The session ended with a fun prize draw among the attendees, organised by the company MEDICOTEK.
