On 29 July, Ms. Elena Lorenzo, head of MATACHANA’s MIEC department, participated as a speaker in module I of the “Training Course on complex processes within CME-CSSD” organised by the NasceCME Institution, a Brazilian educational reference in the country, led by Nurse Ana Miranda.
This module, devoted entirely to the reprocessing of flexible endoscopy, was structured in several webinars broadcast on 14, 21, 28 and 29 July, during the afternoons (Brazil time). Each day was dedicated to a specific topic related to flexible endoscopy with the participation of acclaimed Brazilian speakers, leading specialists in each of the concepts covered.
Elena Lorenzo, on behalf of MATACHANA and our distributor H. STRATTNER, participated in the last day of the event, exposing the importance of evaluating the quality of each stage of reprocessing, giving special relevance to the stages of manual pre-cleaning and to the traceability of the processes carried out, key aspects to guarantee the safety of use of each endoscope treated.
After the talk, an interesting open dialogue took place between all attendees, where aspects raised during the presentation were discussed, as well as other questions related to the reprocessing of medical devices in general.
We are especially grateful to Nurse Ana Miranda for her passion for the world of reprocessing and, in particular, for the time dedicated to the organisation of this course, a unique opportunity for the on-going training of professionals on crucial and constantly topical issues in our sector.
