On 22nd and 23rd March 2023, the INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON STERILIZATION was held in Rosario, Argentina, organized by LABORATORIO MEDIQ, MATACHANA’s distributor in Uruguay.
50 persons from the reprocessing and industry environment, actively participated in the different training sessions. Among the presentations, Giovanna Ruiz, Clinical Specialist & MIEC LATAM in MATACHANA, spoke about Cleaning and disinfection of reusable medical devices, in MATLD automatic washers and about Hydrogen Peroxide sterilization, as well as Low Temperature Steam and 2% Formaldehyde technology.
After the presentations, an interesting debate took place among the attendees, ratifying the importance of the cleaning and disinfection stages, and observing how automated processes provide guarantees on their execution and repeatability. The session served to reconfirm that the technologies of sterilization by Low Temperature Steam with Formaldehyde, as well as by Vaporized Hydrogen Peroxide, provide complementarity, safety and versatility within the Reprocessing Units.
