Following the premise: “Training, as one of the pillars of the Sterilization Sciences”, MATACHANA distribution companies for South America have promoted spaces during this period of pandemic, with the aim of boosting ongoing education in these difficult times. Last October, in virtual scenarios, were carried out three local events. 

In Paraguay, CASA BOLLER and the professionals of the Sterilization Central of the HOSPITAL DE INGAVI, organized a round table where they shared experiences and concepts on “Ultrasonic washing and optimization with specific irrigation equipment”.

In Peru, MEDSTEP provided training at the HOSPITAL DE IREN, on “Synergies: equipment, consumables and human talent in RUMED”. Both events counted with the participation of Giovanna Ruiz, Clinical Specialist for LATAM of MATACHANA.

At the end of the month in Colombia, KAIKA, together with the ASOCIACIÓN PROFESIONALES CENTRALES DE ESTERILIZACIÓN GPCE, CAPITULO ANTIOQUIA (ASSOCIATION OF GPCE STERILIZATION CENTRAL PROFESSIONALS), carried out the seminar “Digital transformation as a new axis of union”, giving two lecture sessions. The first, by Dr. Jose Maria Maya, who presented the human framework of the pandemic, within the medical field, in his paper “Covid-19. Some lessons learned” and Dr. Nelson Carreras, MATACHANA Global Product Manager for monitoring and packaging, explained in detail the range of monitoring, with a scientific and academic basis, within his presentation “Indicators. An added value to quality control in the sterilization centrals”, providing the audience with arguments for the choice and use of monitoring tools.
