Within the framework of the XVI Congress of Materials and Equipment Centres (CME-Centros de Materiales y Equipos) and surgical centres held in Sao Paolo, Brazil, MATACHANA, together with its distributor STRATTNER, actively participated in a major event, giving great relevance to both Steam sterilisation and Low Temperature technologies.

STRATTNER gave a presentation on Low Temperature Steam and 2% Formaldehyde sterilization technology, where crucial aspects of medical device reprocessing were addressed: patient safety, professional safety, aspects related to environmental emissions as well as the profitability of this sterilization method.

During this event, Salvador Montilla, as Global Product Manager of the Steam line and Giovanna Ruiz, as Clinical Specialist for LATAM, shared experiences during the congress and also visited some Brazilian CME, where they perceived the deep-rooted scientific spirit of Brazilian professionals. This reflects a continued commitment to improving reprocessing practices and management in healthcare settings.

The event was remarkable, both for its magnitude and for the relevance of the key messages that resonated in each presentation: connectivity, cutting-edge technologies, teamwork, environmental sustainability, patient safety, occupational safety and reprocessing with quality, aspects that frame the importance of moving towards safer, more efficient and environmentally friendly practices in healthcare.

Special thanks to SOBECC for organising such an enriching event and contributing significantly to the exchange of knowledge and the promotion of improvements and management of CME.

Until the next opportunity to share and learn together… Congratulations, SOBECC!
