On 17th February 2023, a theoretical and practical training session was held for digestive and respiratory endoscopy staff at the Hospital Universitario Lucus Augusti, Lugo, Spain.
More than 25 professionals from the service participated in a 4-hour session where aspects related to the most current standards and recommendations regarding the prevention of nosocomial infection in these medical devices were discussed, as well as an active and interesting practical part focused on the 12 reprocessors and 8 drying and storage cabins that MATACHANA has installed, after being awarded by public tender, in this hospital, as well as in the Hospital de Mariña, also in the province of Lugo.
From MATACHANA, we would like to thank all the staff of the service for the attention given and their great commitment to the patients who are treated daily in this Health Centre. We only wish that our teams contribute positively to the high standards of quality and safety that day by day, are being provided from the Endoscopy Unit of the Lucus Augusti Hospital.
