On August 2nd, MATACHANA participated in the academic seminar organised by the company ASEPSIS in Lima, in commemoration of the Peruvian Nursing Day. During the event, Giovanna Ruiz Beltran, Clinical Specialist for LATAM at MATACHANA, conducted two conferences: ‘Transforming RUMED: Innovation and Projection towards Reprocessing 5.0’ and ‘80 Years of Innovation: Revolutionising the Sterilization of Reusable Medical Devices by Low Temperature Steam and 2% Formaldehyde’. In these conferences, the arrival of technology in RUMED to optimise processes and allow staff to focus on activities that require human thought was evident. It was also highlighted that Low Temperature Formaldehyde Steam sterilization is an excellent solution for the sterilization of thermolabile materials with complex morphologies and geometries and the best option for the challenges of flexible endoscopy sterilization.
The seminar, which was attended by around 100 healthcare professionals, focused on quality management and patient safety. In addition to MATACHANA’s presentations, Felipe Coros and Dr. Luis Robles shared their knowledge. Dr. Robles’ lecture was particularly interesting, highlighting the importance of trust in quality management and in the human talent that executes the processes.
MATACHANA thanks ASEPSIS for the invitation and congratulates Peru for celebrating Nursing Day. It also applauds the initiative of ASEPSIS in the continuing education of professionals and celebrates that Peru will host the next Pan-American Congress in 2025, an excellent opportunity to continue learning and sharing experiences on the reprocessing of reusable medical devices.
