From 12 to 15 June 2023, Ms. Elena Lorenzo, head of MATACHANA’s MIEC Department, trained the Infection Prevention and Control staff and users of the medical device reprocessing unit of the Paediatric Hospital of Ho Chi Minh City, formerly Saigon, in Vietnam. A total of 25 professionals received a complete theoretical and practical training, focused both on the improvement of their processes and on the equipment that the company MATACHANA, together with the company THAI SON MEDICAL EQUIPMENT, recently installed in this hospital. During 3 days, theoretical presentations were held and then practical sessions in front of the equipment, where users could share their doubts and ask questions about the operation and proper use of the machines.
From MATACHANA, we would like to thank all the hospital staff, especially the head of the hospital, Dra.Thuy, for her rigorous, demanding and at the same time, kind manners throughout the training.
We would also like to thank all the RUMED staff for their keen interest. And of course, we show our gratitude to the MATACHANA staff in this country, who have been key to the commercial and technical development of this project: Mr. Paco Fernández, Sales Director for the APAC area and our Technical Manager, Mr. Daniel Queiruga.
We hope that the Paediatric Hospital of Ho Chi Minh City will become a paradigm in terms of reprocessing for Vietnam and that all these professionals contribute, on a daily basis, to the protection and safety of their “little” patients.
