MIEC IN GUATEMALA: MEETING WITH REPROCESSING HUMAN TALENT

On the 9th, 10th and 11th of August, academic sessions on hospital sterilization were held in Guatemala City, Zacapa and Quetzaltenango, organised by the company INNOVACIONES MÉDICAS, MATACHANA’s distributor in Guatemala. A total of 150 professionals gathered to strengthen their knowledge on the reprocessing of medical devices in that country.

During these meetings, Giovanna Ruiz Beltrán, Clinical Specialist for LATAM of the MATACHANA Group, exposed on the current situation of RUMED at a global level, presenting the different developments and technological advances in favour of the reprocessing of medical devices. She also spoke about Low Temperature Sterilization with Vaporised Hydrogen Peroxide and Low Temperature Steam and 2% Formaldehyde.

These were most profitable days, where the Sterilization Sciences became the protagonists, reconfirming that reprocessing departments are key points for health care, requiring training and recognition for those who carry out this work.
