This is a training proposal that was initiated in 2022 in Mexico City and Puebla, under the slogan “TECNOLOGÍAS VANGUARDISTAS APLICADAS EN LA CEyE COMO EJE DE ATENCIÓN EN SALUD”. On 5 September 2023, it was replicated in Guadalajara and on 6 and 7 September in Monterrey, in collaboration with the company EEE, MATACHANA’s distributor in Mexico.
Various groups of reprocessing professionals and future nursing professionals met at these academic conferences where they discussed the differences between automated washing and manual washing, reconfirming the importance of cleaning/disinfection in the results of sterile products. Similarly, knowledge was updated on steam sterilization, with reference to the S1000 autoclaves, as well as Low Temperature, focusing on 2% Formaldehyde Steam, represented by the 130LF® sterilizer and in the case of Vaporised Hydrogen Peroxide, with the 50HPO® and 130HPO® equipment.
They were very educational events and above all with a lot of enthusiasm from the attendees. From MATACHANA we would like to congratulate and thank all the participants and especially the FACULTY OF NURSING of the UNIVERSIDAD AUTÓNOMA DE NUEVO LEÓN, for promoting knowledge about the STERILIZATION SCIENCES. Likewise, to the COLEGIO DE ENFERMERÍA QUIRÚRGICA DE NUEVO LEÓN A.C. and the ASOCIACIÓN NEOLONESA DE PROFESIONALES DE ESTERILIZACIÓN, for promoting training days that strengthen reprocessing practices and for showing the role of RUMED through their continuous fight in the prevention of healthcare associated infections (IAAS).
