The IV SYMPOSIUM ON STERILIZATION organised by the FUNDACIÓN SANTA FE DE BOGOTÁ and the HOSPITAL SERENA DE MAR took place on Friday 19th May in a hybrid format, on-line and face-to-face. The conference was structured with lectures of high academic value, showing the skills and empowerment of those responsible for the reprocessing of reusable medical devices, with the aim of providing tools for technical and organisational decisions in order to reconfirm that hospital sterilisation is a pillar for safe health care. This was precisely the slogan and thematic focus of the event.
Giovanna Ruiz Beltrán, Clinical Specialist at MATACHANA, participated in this event with the presentation “New Technologies for the Optimisation of Cleaning and Disinfection of Reusable Medical Devices”, corroborating the importance of the fulfilment of these stages in the reprocessing circuit and demonstrating that technological developments have a positive impact on the result of a sterile and safe medical device.
