At the 12th Conference on Hospital Sterilisation and Disinfection in Argentina, MATACHANA, in partnership with its distributor KIMS, showcased several of the machines used in the different stages of reprocessing medical devices, offering a comprehensive solution for these services:
• MAT LD washer thermodisinfector, for efficient cleaning and thermal disinfection.
• S1000® Steam Sterilizer, reaffirming steam as the preferred method in any RUMED, with improvements in the sustainability, connectivity and durability of its components.
• 130LF® using Low Temperature Steam with 2% Formaldehyde, as the most versatile and fastest alternative for complex thermosensitive devices, such as the flexible gastrointestinal endoscopes.
• 130HPO® using Vaporized Hydrogen Peroxide & Plasma, the fastest option for conventional thermolabile devices, including the simplest flexible endoscopy.
Along with technological innovation, at the Matachana International Education Center (MIEC), we are convinced that continuing education and development of human talent are the basis for safe and evidence-based practices within Reprocessing Units.
In this regard, Giovanna Ruiz Beltrán, Clinical Specialist and MIEC LATAM, presented the paper “130LF®: Safe and Effective Low-Temperature Technology for the Sterilization of Complex Thermosensitive Devices”. The presentation aroused great interest among attendees by showing the effectiveness, penetrability, safety and complementarity of 130LF® with 130HPO®, providing solutions to new challenges that arise each day in reprocessing.
