Continuing our educational journey on Low-Temperature Steam with Formaldehyde sterilization, our MIEC department hold two impactful training sessions in the Philippines islands. The first took place at the Philippine Heart Center in Manila, followed by a second session at Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu. Both events were supported by the Philippine scientific association of Best Practices in sterilization, PANGARAP, and were conducted by our MIEC responsible person, Mrs. Elena Lorenzo.
Thanks to the outstanding collaboration with our local distributor, MEDICOTEK, more than 80 participants had the opportunity to engage with a real sterilizer, model 130LF® High Speed, installed directly in the conference room. This hands-on approach enriched the learning experience and sparked meaningful discussions. A rich Q&A dialogue emerged in both sessions, helping to clarify common doubts and deepen understanding of the technology. These exchanges proved invaluable for reinforcing key concepts and clinical applications.
The professionalism, warmth, and curiosity of Filipino healthcare professionals made this training especially interesting. For MIEC, it was a true pleasure to share knowledge in such a welcoming and close environment.
