MIEC in Spain: Training and improvement throughout the 2025 semester

During the first six months of 2025, we have had the privilege of accompanying numerous healthcare centers on their journey toward excellence in medical device reprocessing. Among the most notable initiatives, it is worth mentioning:

• The remodeling of the washing area at the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau in Barcelona
• The training sessions at the new Hospital Quirón Zaragoza
• The launch of the Hospital VITHAS TURIA in Valencia
• The launch of the UIRI robotic irrigator at the Hospital Quirón Valdemoro in Madrid
• The advanced theoretical and practical course developed with the Mutualia Clinics in the Basque Country
• The starting up of a steam sterilizer and a washer disinfector installed at the Cruces University Hospital in Vizcaya
• The technical conference held with all the students of the Vall d’Hebron Institute in Barcelona
• The refreshment session held in the University Hospital of La Coruña

These training activities not only optimize the use of technology, but also reinforce professionals’ commitment to patient safety. Good training is key to ensuring the correct and responsible use of medical devices, which has a direct impact on the quality of care.

Looking ahead to the second half of the year, we have many more training sessions planned throughout the country, reaffirming our commitment to continuous improvement and specialized training.
