On 11 and 12 June, Elena Lorenzo Marfil, head of the MATACHANA educational department, was a speaker at the 1st Conference on Surgical Instrumentation and Sterilization held at the Ramón y Cajal University Hospital in Madrid. Her presentation, entitled ‘A robot comes to see me: Challenges in the reprocessing of robotic instrumentation’, was included in a very interesting sterilization round table, where other high impact topics were discussed: MDR regulation 2017/745, leadership in RUMED and 3D printing and its connection with sterilization services.
We congratulate the Ramón y Cajal Hospital for the scientific interest aroused and the visibility they have given to surgical nursing and the great work that takes place every day in our reprocessing services.
