On May 6th, 2 training sessions were organised with the staff of the Reprocessing Unit of the Hospital de Barcelona, in Spain. This Centre, one of the most established private hospitals in the city, maintains a close training relationship with MATACHANA, organising periodically, short informative sessions focused on specific topics of interest for the hospital. This year, the course focused on legislative and regulatory aspects that affect the world of reprocessing and later, we took the opportunity to hold a practical session where we reviewed some concepts related to Low Temperature sterilization with Formaldehyde and Plasma Hydrogen Peroxide sterilization. This hospital uses both low-temperature technologies in a balanced way, following criteria of urgency of delivery, compatibility of materials and cost per cycle.

We would like to thank all the staff of the Central, and especially its supervisor, the nurse Sergio Vega, for his high interest and the facilities provided for its execution.
See you next time!
