On Thursday 21 November, at the World Sterilization Congress held in Santiago de Chile, we had the honour of announcing the Premios de Investigaci\u00f3n D. Antonio Matachana<\/strong>.<\/p>\n These awards are intended to foster the scientific spirit and recognise outstanding contributions<\/strong> in the reprocessing of medical devices field. Their objective is to reward people and institutions that promote the advancement of knowledge and improvement of safety standards in key sectors such as Health, Life Sciences<\/strong> and Pharmacy<\/strong>, aligned with the global One Health<\/strong> approach promoted by the World Health Organization. This concept demonstrates<\/strong> the essential interconnection between human, animal and environmental health, highlighting that risk and disease prevention requires interdisciplinary collaboration. From combating antimicrobial resistance to mitigating the impact of pandemics and preserving ecosystems, One Health<\/strong> is presented as an integrative and sustainable vision to address global public health challenges.<\/p>\n D. Antonio Matachana Fern\u00e1ndez<\/strong>, founder of the company MATACHANA in 1962, laid the foundations of a company which, with vision and innovation, has evolved to become a global leader in reprocessing and infection prevention and control solutions.
