On 2 June, the ACCES 2023 academic day was held in Bogota, Colombia, organised by the Asociaci\u00f3n Colombiana de Centrales de Esterilizaci\u00f3n (Colombian Association of Sterilization Centrals). The main topic of the day was “The future of reprocessing plants for reusable medical devices”<\/b>.<\/p>\n
On this occasion, the conference focused on human talent, where supervisors, nursing assistants, reprocessing technicians and future healthcare professionals shared knowledge with the aim of learning about current developments and technological innovations in the reprocessing circle of reusable medical devices.<\/p>\n
Giovanna Ruiz Beltr\u00e1n, Clinical Specialist & MIEC LATAM, from the company MATACHANA, was in charge of closing the educational day, with the conference “reprocessing central of reusable medical devices 5.0”<\/b>, stating that technology is a tool that enhances the safety of patients, workers and medical devices, without forgetting the ecological challenge that we have today as a society and where the entire health sector plays a relevant role as one of the biggest polluters globally.<\/p>\n
