NASCECME TRAINING COURSE IN RIBEIRO PRETO: APPLIED SCIENCE IN CME/RUMED.
On July 1 and 2, took place in the city of Ribeiro Preto SP, a new training course organized by Nurse Ana Miranda and Professor Mª Virgínia Gody of the University of Almeida, in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). Its objective is to bring the science of CME (RUMED) closer to other Brazilian cities outside of the large capitals, so that this knowledge spreads more and more throughout the country.
The event lasted 16 hours, with renowned speakers from all over the country. Mrs. Elena Lorenzo, Infection Control Manager from MATACHANA, with the support of the company H. STRATTNER, gave a talk entitled "Safe processes in the cleaning of healthcare products: how to overcome challenges".
During the presentation, the importance of following the manufacturers' reprocessing instructions, according to EN ISO 17664:2018, was discussed and different factors were analyzed that may hinder the achievement of adequate cleaning results and, therefore, affect the overall safety of reprocessing/treating sanitary devices.
The day was a great success, and the audience was greatly involved in the talks, which denotes the quality of the presentations made. Thank you NasceCME!
We are anxiously awaiting the new edition of NasceCME, which will take place in Rio de Janeiro next August 4th and where "Responsibilities in Patient Safety" will be discussed.
