MIEC TRAINING IN VITHAS SAN JOSÉ DE VITORIA, ÁLAVA (SPAIN):
On April 25, an interesting training session took place at the VITHAS SAN JOSÉ Hospital in Vitoria, Alava (Spain). The event, which mixed theoretical concepts with practical ones on patient safety and reprocessing of medical devices, was mainly addressed to the nursing staff who work in the operating room, and who sporadically come into contact with thermo-disinfector washers, steam sterilizers and Hydrogen Peroxide & Plasma sterilizers. Specifically, the VITHAS San José Hospital has a MAT LD500 washer, and a MAT LD100 model will shortly be installed.
In addition, there are 2 steam sterilizers S1000 and 2 sterilizers 130HPO®, both from MATACHANA.
During the session very significant doubts arose that were solved in situ, as well as observations on aspects of improvement that the hospital can implement immediately to guarantee an increase in the quality of the processes carried out in its MATACHANA sterilization centrals.
MATACHANA would like to thank all the assistant staff, the operating room supervisors, as well as the medical management, for their involvement and participation during the session.
