SEMINAR ON INFECTION PREVENTION:
On March 22, the company ELECTROLAB MEDIC of El Salvador, organized an interesting educational workshop on the fundamental role that develop the Reprocessing Units for Medical Devices (RUMED) in the prevention of infections inside the Healthcare Institutions. The event took place at the Intercontinental Hotel in the city of San Salvador.
More than 60 professionals of all kinds and from all corners of the country participated in the seminar, discussing relevant aspects of hospital asepsis. Special attention was paid to the cleaning and disinfection processes, as well as to the new Low Temperature sterilization technologies. All the details related to the importance of water quality needed by our equipment in the RUMED and the need to install correctly sized treatment plants were highly interesting. Similarly, all attendees agreed on the need for specific training for the staff from these Sterilization and Equipment Centrals.
Elena Lorenzo, head of MATACHANA MIEC Department, was in charge of carrying out these sessions, which raised many questions, prolonging the seminar two hours longer than expected.
Many thanks to all the participants and especially all the personnel of the company ELECTROLAB MEDIC, for their commitment and excellent organization.
The seminar concluded with the award ceremony and the traditional representative photo of the "RUMED, the hospital beat" campaign, very well received by the attendees.
