Scientific conferences on sterilization at Ramón y Cajal Hospital in Madrid:

On 29th November, the Ramón y Cajal Hospital in Madrid organised a scientific conference on "Sterilization Centrals as a critical aspect of patient safety". The event, which was attended by more than 400 persons from all over Spain, dealt with several highly topical issues in the Reprocessing Units of Medical Devices, all of them developed by professionals of different nature and broad experience. The aim of the conference was to address the problem of disinfection and sterilization processes of clinical material, as well as their implications for patient safety. One of the most interesting round tables was the one that discussed the training needs of the professionals involved in these units, handled from different points of view. On the whole, the degree of satisfaction from the attendees have been very high and the goals established for this occasion have been reached.

MATACHANA was part of the collaborating companies that contributed to the successful development of this event.

From here, we would like to congratulate the Preventive Medicine Department of the hospital and especially the staff of the Sterilization Central, for the motivation and dedication with which they have organized this day, so that everything ran so smoothly. As a "gift" to the attendees, the hospital showed us a video of the operation of their unit, which they specifically prepared for this occasion. Here is the link:

We’re very much looking forward to the 2nd edition!!!
