in Nicaragua:

On 28, 29 and 30th September, the 2º Congreso Nacional de esterilización y Centros Quirúrgicos (2nd National Congress of Sterilization and Surgical Centers) was held in Managua, organized by ANECQ, the Nicaraguan Association of Sterilization and Surgical Centers. The event was attended by more than 200 nurses from all regions of the country, as well as nurses from the Mexican Association of Sterilization and visitors from other countries, mainly Caribbean.
During the Scientific Congress, Engineer Carlos Cárcamo, the Cross Border Latin America Regional Manager of MATACHANA, made a presentation on current low temperature technologies, as complementary methods to steam sterilization and adapted to the needs of each center. It was also used to underline the importance of washing and pre-preparation, independently from the sterilization system for the safe reprocessing of medical devices.
Finally, several images of the Hospital Occidental of Managua were shown, a very recent project, with washing, disinfection and sterilization equipment of the latest generation, fully automated and 100% made by MATACHANA.
The attendees were pleasantly surprised by the installation, carried out jointly with the company BÜHLER PHARMA, MATACHANA's distributor in the country.
