INFORMATION ON COOKIES

Due to the entry into force of the said amendment of the “Information Society Services Act”(LSSICE) / established by Royal Decree 13/2012, it is compulsory to obtain the express consent from users of all websites that use non-critical cookies before they browse them.

WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies and other similar technologies such as local shared objects, flash cookies or pixels are tools used by web servers to store and retrieve information about their visitors, as well as to provide a smooth functioning of the site.

The use of these devices allows the Web server to remember some data concerning the user, like their preferences for the display of that server’s pages, name and password, products that they are most interested in, etc.

COOKIES AFFECTED BY THE REGULATIONS AND EXEMPTED COOKIES

According to the EU directive, cookies that require informed consent by the user are analytical and advertising and affiliation cookies, except those that are technical and those necessary for the operation of the website or the provision of services specifically requested by the user.

WHAT TYPES OF COOKIES EXIST?

There are five major groups of cookies:

  • Analytical cookies: they collect information about the use of the website.
  • Social cookies: those necessary for external social networks.
  • Affiliation cookies: they allow monitoring of visits from other websites, with which the website establishes an affiliate agreement (affiliated companies).
  • Advertising and behavioural cookies: they contain information on user preferences and choices (retargeting).
  • Technical and functional cookies: those that are strictly necessary for use of the website and for the provision of the service procured. 

COOKIES USED ON THIS WEBSITE

  • PHPSESSID: strictly necessary technical cookie that contains the session identifier. It is deleted when the browser is closed.
  • _lang: strictly necessary technical cookie that contains the session language. It is deleted when the browser is closed.
  • ac_cookies: strictly necessary technical cookie that contains the value regarding whether the cookie installation has been accepted. It expires 1 year after the last update.
  • _ga: Google Analytics cookie that authorises the single visits control function. This cookie will be installed the first time a user enters the website through a browser. When this user enters the website again with the same browser, the cookie will consider that it is the same user. It will only be considered to be another user if the user changes browser.   • _gat: This cookie is associated with Google Analytics. It is used to limit the speed of request – to limit data collection in high traffic sites. It expires after 10 minutes.
  • _gid: This cookie is associated with Google Analytics. It is used to distinguish between users. It expires after 24 hours.
  • 0bfd7957c5df0b93cbce1d3ba5310508: Standard CMS Joomla cookie to manage the security of site navigation. It expires at logoff.
  • joomla_user_state: Access control cookie for restricted content. It expires at logoff.
  • jommla_remember_me_(random characters): Cookie that stores the user’s choice to keep their registered user session active, so that they do not have to re-identify themselves when they re-enter the site. It expires after 60 days.

We also inform about the existence of cookies from third parties, totally unrelated to the MATACHANA website, which may store preferences and use of external services, such as Google and Box. REVOCATION OF CONSENT TO INSTALL COOKIES HOW TO DELETE COOKIES FROM THE BROWSER

Chrome. Version 66

  1. Select the Tools icon
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click on Show Advanced Options.
  4. In the “Privacy” section, click content Settings.
    • Remove cookies: Click All the cookies and site data …
    • Do not allow cookies to be stored.
  5. Click Remove browsing data (empty Cache).
  6. Close and restart the browser.

Internet Explorer. Version 11 

  1. Select Tools | Internet Options.
  2. Click on the General tab.
  3. In the “Browsing History” section, click Delete browsing history on exit.
  4. Select Delete files.
  5. Select Delete cookies.
  6. Click Delete.
  7. Click on Accept.
  8. Close and restart the browser.

Firefox. Version 60

  1. Select Firefox | History | Clear recent history.
  2. Next to “Details”, click on the arrow pointing down.
  3. Select the following check boxes: Cookies, Cache, Active session starts
  4. Using the “Time Interval to delete” in the drop-down menu, select All.
  5. Click on Delete now.
  6. Close and restart the browser.

You can accept or reject the cookies individually in the Firefox Preferences, in the History section available in Tools > Options > Privacy.

Safari Version 11

  1. Select the Safari icon/ Edit | Reset Safari.
  2. Select the following check boxes: Delete history, Delete all the website data
  3. Click Reset.
  4. Close and restart the browser.
