"SHUTTLE" TRANSPORT SYSTEM - THE NECESSARY OUTSOURCING OF THE OPERATING THEATRES

Intensive wards and sterile areas has lead to the development of the shuttle system. This system reduces handling times and assures a perfect hygienic protection.

The combined use of anodised Light alloy, nylon fibreglass and stainless steel really fits for the sterilizing process and grants a decrease in weight and energy consumption.

The Systems is composed of the following elements:

- Cupboard trucks for the internal and external transport also by truck. Compatible with washing/disinfection process up to 80ºC.
      
- Shuttle for the sterile material. The shuttle is loaded in the cupboard truck designed specifically for this system. Compatible with sterilization at 134ºC.

- Transfer trolley for the loading and unloading of the shuttle.

- The shuttle is loaded into the cupboard truck thanks to the transfer trolley and is transported to its destination. Once there, the shuttle is unloaded thanks to another transfer trolley.

- Unloading platform allowing the storage of shuttles in the sterile storage room or in the ward
