| Matachana opens new Production Center |
Antonio Matachana S.A. (MATACHANA) has just opened his new production center in Barcelona, for the manufacture of medium and large sized sterilizers for the hospital market and research centres. The new factory based on a site of approximately 6,200 m2 is located in one of the most influential industrial area in Castelldefels, a town close to the city of Barcelona and only 10 minutes from El Prat Airport. It will replace the former factory which was operational in the Zona Franca of Barcelona since 1972. These new facilities will host, in addition to the production plant for sterilizers, the departments of Engineering, R&D+I, the Training Center and a spacious demonstration room fully fitted with all the equipment provided by the company. "With the new production plant, MATACHANA is clearly opting for a constant innovation in addition to a significant contribution to the industry based in Barcelona, from where it is projected towards the international market through its 6 subsidiaries and a worldwide distribution network counting over 60 distributors", points out Juan Antonio Matachana, CEO of the company.
